This combination will be an enormous asset to Philabundance to help us continue to grow and serve the needs of those affected by hunger in the Delaware Valley.”

In addition to these changes, Philabundance has named Pam Lawler, Philabundance founder, as Secretary of the board and bids farewell to outgoing board member Mimi Choksi. Board members Blaine Bringhurst, and Congressman Joe Sestak will transition to new positions as trustees.

A nonprofit organization, Philabundance was founded in 1984 to help fight hunger in the Delaware Valley while reducing food waste. On Jan. 1, 2005, Philabundance combined forces with the Greater Philadelphia Food Bank to provide a “Full Plate of Services” of frozen, shelf stable and perishable foods. Last year, Philabundance provided approximately 22 million pounds of high quality, nutritious food through its 600 member agencies throughout the region.
